THE BIND
A project by Curators Club
May 16 – June 6, 2019
LOCKER is pleased to present The Bind, a project by Curators Club at John Marshall High School.
For their project with LOCKER, Curators Club offers up three installations reflecting on the locker as both social and psychical space. The collective presents: a group-portrait-as-sculpture, a Kusama-inspired interactive ‘self-reflection,’ and an archive of issues of the The Bind and related materials.
Curators Club is a collective effort of students at John Marshall High School. The group’s stated purpose is simple, yet ambitious: make zines and art shows. They’ve published three issues of The Bind and mounted two exhibitions so far. There’s more yet to come.
John Marshall High School is a comprehensive public high school that provides high quality, creative and rigorous instruction for students in a diverse community.
LOCKER is located at John Marshall High School and is available by appointment. A reception will be held Thursday, May 16, 3:15 – 4:30pm.
